The Executive Officer has authority over all areas, but just as with the Sheriff, he functions through a chain of command. Within the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the Executive
Officer directly oversees the commanders of the Bureau of Law Enforcement, the Bureau of Support Services and the Bureau of Corrections, as well as the Public Information Officer,
and the Finance Division.
