The personnel assigned under the Criminal Investigations Division are responsible for the follow-up investigations of crimes that, due to their nature and
seriousness or time required to properly investigate, make it impractical for patrol deputies conduct the required investigations. The different specialty
units and sections within this division investigate specific types of crimes or perform support functions to aid the investigations.
