Patrol Area
The patrol area for District 4 includes a territory of approximately 30 square miles, which covers much of the area north of Charlotte Harbor in the Port Charlotte area. The boundary streets for this district are West Tarpon Blvd., west to Edgewater Dr. and east on West Tarpon Blvd. to Lakshore Dr., around to Midway Blvd., to Kensington St. to Veterans Blvd., to Peachland, to Kings Highway to I -75. Two of the county's three hospitals, Fawcett Memorial and Peace River Regional, locate situation in District 4, which is the most densely populated of the Sheriff’s Office four areas of responsibility. There are several parks in this area such as Kids Space, Higgs Park, Lake Betty Park , and the new Linear Bayshore Park on Bayshore Rd. in Charlotte Harbor, to name a few. The Port Charlotte Beach Complex and Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club are located in the District 4 area.
