Fugitive Apprehension Unit

The purpose of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit is to arrest persons located within boundaries of Charlotte County who have outstanding felony warrants, regardless of the jurisdiction where they were issued. Because the four members of this unit are deputized as United States Marshalls, they have the ability to cross zones, districts and even the county line to make arrests should they find out the wanted felon has absconded from our jurisdiction. The Fugitive Apprehension Unit works closely with Southwest Florida CrimeStoppers in an attempt to locate and apprehend wanted felons that attempt to avoid capture.
