The Juvenile Operations Unit of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office encompasses all aspects of juvenile-related activity within the Sheriff’s Office.
Units
The Juvenile Operations Unit tracks, monitors and follows up on all juvenile arrests, notices to appear, and charges filed.
Additionally, the Juvenile Operations Unit follows up on all missing persons reported to the sheriff’s office. The unit attempts to locate the juveniles and reunite them with their families.
The Juvenile Operations Unit works closely with all district offices and the School Resource Officers, acting as a liaison between the sheriff’s office and the Department of Juvenile Justice, the State Attorney’s Office and the judicial system in the county.
