Lt. Kathryn Bell

Lt. Kathryn BellLt. Kathryn Bell began her career with Charlotte County as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Peace River Elementary in 1987. In 1991, she followed her dream and was hired by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office as a Correction Officer.

In May of 1995, she was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In November of 2000, she was promoted to the rank of 1st Sergeant, and was instrumental in assisting in the transition into the new Charlotte County Jail. In April of 2002, she was promoted to Lieutenant. November of 2005, she was transferred into the Administrative Services Commander position.

Lt. Bell moved to Charlotte County in 1979, and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1987. She attended Edison College, and is a 2004/2007 graduate of Lynn University with a double major (BA/BS) in Criminal Justice and Behavioral Science (Summa Cum Laude).

Lt. Bell is married to Ron, a retired Navy Chief and retired Lee County Deputy. They have three daughters Kelli, Sarah and Ronni.
