Captain Les Partington has served more than 24 years in law enforcement. Captain Partington’s experience in law enforcement includes an assignment as Watch
Commander with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. In this capacity he oversaw all law enforcement operations, assets and on-duty personnel during his shift. This included being
in command of all high-risk critical incidents.
Prior to that Captain Partington was the agency’s Juvenile Services Division Commander, where he supervised the school resource and D.A.R.E. officers who
worked with the county’s 70,000 students. He served as a District Lieutenant and Community Oriented Policing team leader in 2002. Captain Partington also has extensive
experience as a major crimes investigator, undercover narcotics agent and criminal investigations sergeant.
Captain Partington joined the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in July 2006, working as a road patrol deputy in the Mid-County area. In January 2009 he was
appointed to the position of Commander of the West County Patrol Division.
Prior to entering Law Enforcement, Captain Partington served on active duty for 5 years in the United States Army.
