West County Patrol Division

In January 2009, the Sheriff's Office was re-organized when Sheriff Bill Cameron took office. The largest district that covered the area from El Jobean through Murdock and Port Charlotte to Charlotte Harbor was divided into two separate districts. The districts were then grouped into two separate patrol divisions - the East County Patrol Division and the West County Patrol Division - each under the command of a patrol captain. The West County Patrol Division covers the Englewood, Gulf Cove, Rotunda, El Jobean and Murdock areas.
