Uniformed Patrol Division

The men and women assigned under the Uniformed Patrol Division are the people you are likely to see and notice more often -- the road patrol officers. These officers generally operate out of one of the district offices located in Charlotte County. Even though currently there are four separate offices, the two offices located in the Port Charlotte area are scheduled to be combined into a single mid-county office in late 2005 or early 2006. Click on one of the links below to learn more about the individual district offices.

The Watch Commanders are not assigned to any particular district office. Their job is to oversee the patrol functions within the county on a 24 hour a day basis.
