Charlotte County Traffic Areas of Concentration from October 26th through November 1st, 2009.

Oct 21, 2009 - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will be paying special attention to Traffic Enforcement in the following areas from October 26th through November 1st, 2009.

Speed Enforcement:

The entire length of Wilmington Blvd. (In 2008 there were 13 crashes on this section of roadway involving 24 vehicles injuring 7 and causing $71,140.00 in damage.)

The entire length of Kings Hwy. (In 2008 there were 110 crashes on this section of roadway involving 217 vehicles injuring 35 people, killing 2 people and causing $377,445.00 in damage.)

Traffic Light Enforcement:

Kings Highway and I-75. (In 2008 there were 47 crashes at this intersection involving 80 vehicles, injuring 26 persons, killing two people and resulting in $282,250.00 in damage).

McCall Rd (S.R.776) and San Casa. (In 2008 there were 16 crashes at this intersection involving 33 vehicles injuring 5 people and causing $48,650.00 in damage.)
