Charlotte County Traffic Areas of Concentration from November 2nd through November 8th, 2009.

Oct 28, 2009 - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will be paying special attention to Traffic Enforcement in the following areas from November 2nd through November 8th, 2009.


Speed Enforcement:


The entire length of Quesada Ave. (In 2008 there were 11 crashes on this section of roadway involving 21 vehicles injuring 10 and causing $39,550.00 in damage.)


The entire length of U.S. 17 (Duncan Rd.). (In 2008 there were 58 crashes on this section of roadway involving 97 vehicles injuring 34 people and causing $369,250.00 in damage.)


Traffic Light Enforcement:


U.S. 41 and Murdock Cir. (In 2008 there were 45 crashes at this intersection involving 90 vehicles, injuring 18 persons and resulting in $143,400.00 in damage).


Sandhill and Kings Highway. (In 2008 there were 22 crashes at this intersection involving 40 vehicles injuring 3 people and causing $32,190.00 in damage.)
