Charlotte County Traffic Areas of Concentration from November 9th through November 15th, 2009.

Nov 04, 2009 - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will be paying special attention to Traffic Enforcement in the following areas from November 9th through November 15th, 2009.

Speed Enforcement:

The entire length of Gilott Blvd. (In 2008 there were 9 crashes on this section of roadway involving 13 vehicles injuring 8 and causing $58,550.00 in damage.)

Peachland Blvd. from Kings Hwy. to Harbor Blvd. (In 2008 there were 36 crashes on this section of roadway involving 71 vehicles injuring 24 people, killing one person and causing $138,585.00 in damage.)

Traffic Light Enforcement:

U.S. 41 and West Tarpon Blvd. (In 2008 there were 24 crashes at this intersection involving 53 vehicles, injuring 10 persons and resulting in $104,200.00 in damage).

S.R. 776 (McCall Rd.) abd Spinnaker Blvd. (In 2008 there were 17 crashes at this intersection involving 31 vehicles injuring 12 people and causing $61,500.00 in damage.)
