This photograph, taken in about 1976, shows the newly built Sheriff's Office located at 25500 Airport Road in Punta Gorda. The front of the complex housed the administrative offices. The three rectangular sections at the back of the administrative section housed the county jail. The only outlying building located on the left side of the photo was the two-bay garage.
